Derenik Demirchyan House-museum
The house where the great writer Denerik Demirchyan lived in 1929-56 became the house-museum of the writer in 1977. The founder of the museum was Natalya Shirinyan, who is the daughter of Demirchyan's sister.
The museum preserved not only the personal belongings of the writer and his family members, but also the decoration of the house, the color of the walls, the floor, the curtains, the chandeliers, and even the electric cables.
The exhibition is located in 4 halls, two of which are memorial. In the first hall, you can see panels where you can learn about Demirchyan's life through photographs, manuscripts, and documents. The second hall is a memorial room where you can see the writer's office. Demirchyan's desk, books, stationery, household items and chess are placed in the room. The third room is also a memorial, it is the living room. The cabinets, table, chairs, tableware, clothes and Demirchyan's oil paintings and graphic works in the room have been preserved. And the exhibition ends with the fourth room, where theatrical sketches, photographs, thematic panels, Demirchyan's cinema and theater are presented in the form of books. There are sculptures representing the characters of Demirchyan and his play "Brave Nazar". In a separate display case, you can see the vernacular editions of "Vardanank" and the books published by the house-museum.
